it pays to complain

they say that the english are known for complaining...thank god my new hubby is english.

on the plane returning from our recent trip overseas, he wasn't happy with the fact that only 5 of the 7 movie channels were working properly. once we got home, he wrote a lovely little letter to british airways telling them of this and stated that, "we would never of had this problem if we were sitting in first class" etc etc.

anyway.. cut to today. we arrived home from work to find a letter from BA. Inside as compensation for the movie channels not working were 2 travel vouchers worth $100 each!

ok, i am going to do the holiday in bits as it's easier and i don't want to bore you all to death.
i'm not even going to attempt to be slightly witty as i am feeling very braindead the last few days..combination of weird sleeping pattern and work being demanding already...sorry.

i'm back!

hi kids,

got back yesturday and am trying desperately to fight off the jet lag before starting back at work tommorrow.

i have lots of stories to tell and photos of myself, itchy and elvis to come, but i may take a couple days to get back into the swing of things. until then.. take it easy kids

well this is it.. last blog before the big day.

still got bits to do and haven't even started packing yet.
i went and got my hair coloured and cut this morning. it looked great, but then the woman started to blowdry it in every direction, spraying me with hairspray like crazy . i looked in the mirror and i had a flashback to the 80's, when i had the big "dynasty" do.
need less to say, the second i got into the car i brushed it all out and i looked random and fabulous again.
not much else to tell, without boring you all to death, so i shall bid you a fond farewell for now, and will be back in june with lots of pics of me with elvis.

sorry i 've not been on much lately kids.. things are starting to get a bit hectic with work and the whole wedding thing. we are off to vegas this sunday, and i can't wait!
everything is all booked now.. we got our US dollars, we got the grand canyon tour booked, the kitties are booked in for their luxury holiday at the catterie, we are slowly working on the after party when we get back home in june..and we have finally picked our outfits.

it has been decided, as much as we would love to dress up silly, the parents would have a fit, so we are just going smart casual. it seems a waste of time getting too dolled up, considering the whole ceremony goes for 7-12 minutes. itchy has got himself a lovely pair of troosers and a pale purple shirt, and after much umming and ahhing i am going to wear a sleevless burgandy top with my oprah arms flapping in the wind for all to see and a lovley pair of off black troosers.
i was going to do the whole skirt thing, but have had a few "fat" moods lately, so thought i would be more comfy in pants. this decision went down well when we told itchy's mum. you could hear the tumbleweed rolling in the background.. there was complete silence. i think she thought i'd go all suited up or something.
apart from that.. it's just the little things to do now
